It has been reported that Apple have hired Norman Foster to design a new eco-friendly campus, called 'The City of Apple'. The project will be built on 148 acres of land, including the 90 acres of land that was purchased from HP recently.

Inhabitat have reported that the new headquarters will include a network of tunnels that connect the buildings together, eliminating the need to travel from building to building above ground; and feature green surface areas and renewable energies. They have also reported that the 'city' will be modelled off of Foster & Partners' carbon neutral Masdar City in Abu Dhabi, which is currently under construction.
